oh wow!! I just love the hair!! The highlightes make it look so real! :3 you're having an art block?? awww >.< I don't like those = = I'm sure it will go away ^^ I just really like how half of the body is grey and the other colored~~ her expression is really good too and I find it very interesting that you used white line art instead of black ^^
Oh, thank you! Yeah, it sucks. :< It's not really that I have no ideas . . . it's just that my ideas can't translate onto the page. >_>;; Sucks.
I wanted it to feel like the grey was stealing her color away. And that she's trying to fight it off, but it looks like she's loosing. >3> Uhh . . . You can imagine your own ending.
I just thought I'd be different. It was weird because I had to do the background first [which I usually do last] and while she had no texture or shading she looked really out of place. Oh well. It seems like she fits in the scenery now. c:
np~~ oh i see O.o usually I have ideas of what I want to do but I don't have any images in my brain = = which is the whole of drawing... having a picture in your mind.
Oh i see i see ^^ I think you've accomplished that
oh nice~~ lately I've been doing the background first because it keeps me motivated to color the character last which is the part that I enjoy coloring the most c:
I always save the eyes and hair for the last thing . . . They are definitely my favorite to draw. c: I usually have the background, while I'm coloring, just some random color so I can see better if I go outside the lines. It's actually quite helpful, since it's sometimes to tell. >3>;;
Oh, there is. There are these magical tools called Burn and Dodge. Burn darkens the color and Dodge lightens it.
But I can't do that with skin. When I Burn it it just looks orange. >_< So what I do is line all the shaded regions with different darkened shades of the gray-peach color, like layers. Then I use an awesome tool called Smudge that makes the three/two/one color[s] look all blended and neat. Yay for Sumdge!
oh and dont worry bout overloadin our mailboxes, if someone subscribes to someone its because they want to see their new art asap, not because they are looking for a reason to yell at that person for posting too much. srsly, you worry bout that too much
No, it's the same one. It's sure lasting a long time though. >A>;;
I just think of it as a common curtosy. Really. I know that I don't like it when people that I love commenting on their stuffs put all these pictures in my inbox. Oh well.

Yeah, it helps a lot, especially for light colors. >3>
